Each Team had only 13 hours to complete their three show pieces for the competition while under the judges watchful eyes. The competition theme was "childhood" and criteria was based on creativity, taste, artistic beauty and teamwork. Below are the descriptions from Chef Chowdhury on the USA showpieces.

Sugar Showpiece
The Sugar Showpiece depicts aspiration and dreams of a child. Childhood aspiration revolves around sports (soccer ball and skate board), fantasy animated movies involving prehistoric and mythical beasts (dragon) and a lure for adventure. We attempted to bring all these interests together and create the showpiece from that standpoint.

Chocolate Showpiece
As a child we all were fond of music, or learned to play a musical instrument (guitar and saxophone) while spending our leisure time playing with toys (race cars and Dominos). The Chocolate Showpiece brings out these emotions of our childhood through various mediums.

Amenity Showpiece
The Amenity Showpiece showcases one of the most important chores of a child’s life, which is education. It plays a very important role in shaping the rest of his future.

Once the judges called time, and the audience held their breath, each team had to hand carry all three of their pieces to a perfectly balanced table in front of their competition kitchens. It was an incredible sight to see. The entire event will be aired on TLC later this year. Keep tuning in to our site for the time and date.
